I'm learning Sanskritam - Hello, Good Morning, Good Night

By Ani

Do you know that I and Divya are learning Sanskrit or Samskrutam at my Gurukulam class.
So I learned some sentences like this:

To say Hello in Sanskritam:  we say

  • हरिः ॐ (Harihi Om)
  • नमो नम: (Namo Namaha) or
  • नमस्कार: (Namaskaraha)

To say Good Morning in Sanskrit, we say

  • सुप्रभातम (Suprabhatam)
To say Good Night in Sanskrit, we say

    • शुभ रात्रि: (Shubha Ratrihi)
I am also learning Sanskrit lipi or alphabets but my mother helped me to type it in English in Google and copy it in Samskrutam.
When I keep learning, I'll keep telling you also.
Do you know any Sanskrit sentences?
Then you can leave me a comment.

    Veda Patashaala Visit

We once went to a Veda Patashaala in a small town Jagadevapur outside Hyderabad.
It was very nice and quiet.
The children all know Samskritam and know how to say Vedas, even the small kids and the big kids.
There was a Gayatri Devi temple and a Vinayaka Jejaa temple.
We had lunch with in the school in a long room with all the students and teachers.
We stayed till evening and then went home.
They have a blog like I do also - http://www.vedabhoomi.org/
My Amma and Nanna let me listen to Samskritam poems there sometimes.

We really liked the Veda Patashaala.
We will visit it again also.
If you want to see it, you should go to Hyderabad and drive through farms and towns to Jagadevapur.
    You'll see lot of trees.

My Relative of the Year: Vedant

    By Aniruddha

Do you know that in my school, in my class, my teacher asked me to choose who is my relative of the year.
All my class mates chose somebody and somebody from their family like grandmother or father or brother.
But i have a cousin named Vedant who is the smallest in my family.
2nd smallest is Sushmita and 3rd smallest is Divya.

So I nominate Vedant to be my Relative of the year.
I also made an oil painting portrait of him to show my class mates and teacher how he looks.

First i wrote it on a paper and then i typed it in ms word and then my teacher printed it out and then i glued up the printed paper and the oil painting portrait.
Then i put a medal on it.
Then my teacher put it on the wall with everybody's relative of the year.

If you like my cousin Vedant or if you like my painting, click on comment and write a letter to me.
Then everyone will know you like it.

A Dog Family - Original Fiction Story by Ani

I wrote an original fiction story called A Dog Family. Original means I only imagined it in my mind and wrote it, no-one else knows it before I imagined it.

Then I typed it in Microsoft Word and my teacher printed it.
Then I drawed and illustrated it.

When my mother and father saw it they laughed and laughed. They said I write funny stories.
    Do you like my story?
